North Eastern Open Grand Prix Series Meeting 3 18th June 2014

For the past couple of seasons all NEGP meetings have been help at Monkton Stadium, Jarrow. It was a pleasant change then that the 3rd meeting of 2014 season was held at Gateshead International Stadium. A lovely summers evening of athletics.

In order for our athletes to score Grand prix points the club has to provide volunteers to help with the running of the events. Last night was our turn to cover registration, Katy Colmer, Simon Ricketts, Geoff Emerson and Jules Pearson spent an hour of our time helping out. Thank you to them and others who have helped previously. Our club needs helpful parents as well as committed and talented junior athletes.

We had another good turn out on the track and field with lots of PB’s and winning performances.
