Tynedale Harriers & Athletic Club host two Road Races each year which are popular fixtures on the race calendar:
- ‘Pie n Peas’ 10k Road Race – 5th July 2023 – a speedy 10km route which starts in Ovington village, about 1.5 miles from the race HQ at the Adam and Eve Pub, heads out to Wylam along the road and finishes back along the river at Low Prudhoe. A very popular mid week 10km which is a mix of road and good paths along the River Tyne. Pie and peas served afterwards in the Adam and Eve Pub, in Low Prudhoe, make it a great way to spend a summer evening!
- ‘Jelly Tea’ 10 Mile Road Race – 20th August 2023 – A potential new route this year to be announced shortly, but still finishing with a packed tea of a sandwich and pot of jelly. Perfect timing to check your preparation for the Great North Run.
