Seniors Group 2 Winter 2018/19 Training Schedule

Arrive at Wentworth Leisure Centre at 6:45pm for 7pm prompt start.

Please wear bright, reflective clothing and consider bringing a head torch.

If Group 2 runners would prefer to do more track sessions, they are welcome to join any Group 1 session, as they train on the track more often.  Please check Group 1’s schedule for details.

2nd OctEfforts60s, 90s, 2m, 3m, 4m, 5m, 4m, 3m, 2m, 90s, 60s (with recovery of 1min or 2 mins for efforts > 3 mins). Anti-clockwise route around Hexham.
9th OctTrack With Group 1. Steady 4 x 800m then Burn Lane efforts or run around town.
16th OctSocial Head torch run in Acomb or Warden direction
23rd OctHills8 x 2 min efforts up Allendale Road. Jog back down to regroup.
30th OctTrack10 x 500m parlauf (jog forward 100m for recovery)
6th NovEfforts10 x 2 min efforts, 1 min rec. Clockwise undulating route aound town.
13th NovHills10 x 2 min rolling efforts around Elvaston Rd, Elvaston Drive & back down path or road to Gibson Fields. 1 min recovery. Bring head torch.
20th NovTrackWith Group 1. Hungarian Pyramid: 1000m, 800, 600, 400, 200, 200, 400, 600, 800, 1000m (with 200m recovery).
27th NovHills4 x 2 min + 6 x 1 min hill reps on Elvaston Road
4th DecParlauf10 x parlauf on Burn Lane. Jog back to meet partner.
